As a former teacher and amateur artist, after drawing faces, trees, dogs, I started to draw words for my son when he was a kindergartner. Seeing good results, my drawings found their way into "Little Sumerian" cards, followed by "It is not a cat, It is a monkey" picture book after a couple years. In the mean time, I drew many words in several languages that they eventually formed up the "Budding Linguist" dictionary. I hope my drawings help kids enjoy reading and writing and inspire them to write their own stories, too. And who knows maybe in more than one language.
